This year, we are pleased to present Field to Fork – a communal dinner under the stars. Enjoy delicious plates of fresh, organic fare inspired by the morning’s harvest. Join us for this special evening at the Great Park Farm+Food Lab for our 2012 Jewel event. The evening will celebrate all of the tremendous progress being made at the Orange County Great Park.

Progress at the Orange County Great Park
At last year’s Jewel, we announced “a promise kept” with the completion of the Palm Court Arts Complex. This year, we will showcase the Park’s promise kept of a robust farm, food and agriculture program. Other reasons to celebrate include the completion of the North Lawn sports fields and picnic areas; the 100-acre Great Park Farm; the Farm+Food Lab expansion; and the planned addition of the Great Park Community Gardens.
Rich and exciting programming has attracted many thousands of people to the Great Park this past year, with over 600,000 in attendance. Programs like the “Reporting Live” field trips for elementary school students, seasonal garden workshops for adults and children in the Farm+Food Lab, and the Artist in Residence program are among the varied experiences offered to Park visitors. The Park’s signature events, including the Anniversary event, Pumpkin Harvest and Family New Year’s Eve continue to grow each year.
About the Foundation
Since 2000, the Foundation’s role has been to generate support throughout Orange County and beyond for the development and operation of the Great Park. This past year, our participation grew to include new opportunities. Donations from private individuals in the community enabled us to provide early support to the Museum of Heritage & Aviation (MoHA); to host the grand opening of the Great Park Gallery in the Palm Court Arts Complex; and to provide sponsorship to the Great Park Artist in Residence program.
Your contribution to the Jewel of Orange County will help us expand support for the Orange County Great Park and continue to bring an entrepreneurial spirit to the evolving project. We thank you for being a part of this wonderful community endeavor!
