On Friday, July 11, 2008 at the Great Park Balloon site, the Conservancy hosted a spectacular evening under the stars. We
began with hosted cocktails in one of the original base hangers — followed
by a silent auction filled with an array of stunning jewelry. Later
we treated our guests to an alfresco gourmet dinner featuring
sumptuous local and organic
foods — all presented using recyclable products and renewable resources.
After
an inspiring update on the progress of the Great Park and an exciting
live auction, we rocked to the music of Singer/songwriters
