Mission Statement
The mission of the Great Park Conservancy is to generate and sustain public and private support for the development and operation of the Orange County Great Park.

Strategies
• Promote Regional Awareness for the Orange County Great Park
• Advocate for the Park’s Greatness
• Incubate Park Projects & Forge Partnerships
• Raise Money for Specific Park Projects

Goals 2009/2010
• Develop and Execute a Master Agreement – The Conservancy will develop and execute a joint Master Agreement with the Corporate Board that defines roles, processes, and measurements for working together to advance the creation and operation of the Orange County Great Park.
• Create a Fund Development Program for the OC Great Park – The Conservancy will develop and execute a Fund Development Program with the Corporate Board that defines our coordinated efforts to raise money for the build out and sustainability of the Orange County Great Park.
• Promote Public Awareness of the OC Great Park – The Conservancy will work with the Corporate Board to develop and implement complementary communication strategies that promote awareness of the park throughout Orange County.

• The Conservancy is a countywide organization.
• The Conservancy is dedicated to the best park for the public interest.
• The Conservancy supports a park for the entire Orange County region.

Friends of the Great Park

The Conservancy formed Friends of the Great Park to spread the word about the Great Park to all of Orange County. Friends of the Great Park includes over 15,000 residents, elected officials, business leaders, and community leaders.

Advisory Council

The Conservancy created a distinguished Advisory Council of influential community leaders who lend their names in support of the Great Park. The Advisory Council includes representation from north, central and south Orange County cities, as well as community leaders countywide.
